Bushnell V2 Rangefinder Slope Edition
Advantages of The Bushnell V2 Slope Edition
The Bushnell V2 Slope Edition is not approved by USGA for tournament use however for golfing with your buddies/colleagues the Slope Edition can be even more advantageous than the regular Tour V2 in helping you choose the “right” club.
Slopes can be deceiving from a distance; for example at 100 yards from the pin it can be difficult to tell if your lie is 5 feet above or below the pin in which you could end up significantly long or short of the hole.
With the guidance of the Bushnell Tour V2 Slope Edition you’ll have the ability to choose the right club and give full attention to your swing without second guessing. Shaving off a few more strokes per round for an extra $30 might well be worth it for the additional slope feature.

How to Use the Slope Feature
Unfortunately the slope feature does not simply display how many feet/meters/yards above or below the hole is. However the Tour V2 Slope does display the angle compensated distance (ACR) which is more important when choosing the correct club anyway.
The Tour V2 Slope Edition features a “built-in accelerometer-based inclinometer” that displays the slope angle from -20 to +20 degrees of elevation as well as the angle compensated range derived from a proprietary algorithm.
To receive the “angle compensated range” a steady hand is required when firing the Tour V2 rangefinder. After the “regular range” is displayed in the Slope Mode, the firing button needs to be held for 2 more seconds while still aiming steadily at the target to display the ACR (Angle Compensated Range). A ” °
” symbol is displayed beside the the ACR.
Here’s an example:
The regular distance to the target is 162 yards however there is a slope of 4° degrees so the algorithm calculates the ACR is 173 yards in which the ”
” symbol means to “Play-As”. So just select the right club that will give you the range of 173 yards.
The Tour V2 with the slope feature just might drop your handicap a few strokes and you’ll gladly start to think of the Tour V2 as your 15th club.

Golfer Reviews of the the Bushnell Tour V2 Slope Edition:

“I’ve been looking for a new rangefinder for a some time because I am a 9 handicap and wanted to see if I could lower rating. Most of my friends have chosen GPS devices… The Bushnell Tour V2 has advanced the accuracy and quickness of operation with excellence….I need the data fast and accurate. No downloading and fiddling with GPS rangefinders and no annual fees.
My Bushnell can be used with one hand. The V2 has the slope option and I have been checking this feature out and although prospects of a final opinion are good I am not ready to elaborate just yet so no 5 star rating. If you are going to buy it choose the one with the slope option.
I had some communication with a Bushnell rep at their hq and I was given some honest information (how refreshing!!!!)” (Review has been paraphrased. Click here for the original review.)

“Great addition! You don’t need to have any concerns about having a steady hand, the PinSeeker technology works sufficiently and it really does lessen my number of strokes when I misjudge the range… The slope feature is worth the money and it has been very accurate. No one can be disappointed with the Bushnell Tour V2 Slope Edition.” (Review has been paraphrased. Click here for the original review.)
